Dogecoin is coming to the Arkham Intelligence platform.
Doge is one of the most famous coins in crypto, sitting at a $50B market cap at the time of writing. It was created by Billy Markus (aka Shibetoshi Nakamoto) in 2013, and was initially used by Reddit users to tip one another. Since then, it has grown considerably, capturing the hearts and minds of millions of crypto natives and retail traders alike.
Based on a Japanese Shiba Inu called Kabosu, who sadly passed away this year, Doge has achieved a cultural prominence well beyond our industry. It’s Elon Musk’s favorite coin, briefly replacing the bird icon logo on X (formerly Twitter) following Musk’s takeover of the company. In January 2022, Tesla even started accepting DOGE as a payment method for their brand merchandise. It’s also the acronym of the US Government’s new Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E), led by Musk himself.
We’re very excited to be bringing Arkham’s signature analytics capabilities to shed light on the on-chain activities on the Dogecoin blockchain, which despite being 11 years old, has limited tooling to understand the people, entities and activities on this chain. Arkham’s entire suite of features will soon be available to Dogecoin users, including the visualizer, tracer, advanced transaction filtering, real-time alerts and more.
Dogecoin support will now enable Arkham users to examine the activity of any address on Dogecoin, as well as track important accounts like exchanges, funds, and other prominent users. It adds Dogecoin to the 15 blockchain networks currently supported on the Arkham Intel platform
We’re looking forward to Dogecoin holders being able to view blockchain data in ways they never could before.
