About Arkham
Arkham operates a cryptocurrency intelligence platform and a newly launched cryptocurrency exchange. The intelligence platform systematically analyzes and deanonymizes blockchain transactions, showing users the people and companies behind blockchain activity, along with data and analytics about their behavior. The Arkham exchange is built with the same commitment to transparency and reliability.
We have completed our Seed and Series A fundraising from investors including the founders of Palantir and OpenAI, and VCs including Geoff Lewis at Bedrock and Tim Draper. Our founders are veterans of the crypto industry, having previously founded a stablecoin project for hyperinflationary economies with investors including Peter Thiel, Sam Altman, Coinbase, and Digital Currency Group, among others.
Role & Responsibilities
Arkham launched the Arkham Exchange - a CLOB spot & perps centralized exchange in November 2024 as our second product to complement the well-established Intelligence Platform. It is a very exciting time in the life of the company, requiring quick and decisive action across all verticals. To support this, we are looking to grow our elite team to take on this period of rapid growth. To that end, we are looking to bring on a Trading Data Engineer who will report directly to the Head of Business Development.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining and developing core data infrastructure, schemas, data pipelines and ETL jobs
Automating the collection, cleaning, and aggregation of data from various third-party sources and parsing smart contract logs
Analyzing crypto trading data, including but not limited to: order book, transaction, liquidity, price, and PnL data
Ensuring data quality and availability of data that powers the Arkham platform
Supporting the development of predictive models providing useful labels and metadata about cryptocurrency activity
Supporting technical challenges related to query optimization and database performance
Making business recommendations based on your findings
Requirements:
At least two years experience at a trading firm (fund, market maker, prop shop, investment bank, etc.)
Crypto native with a solid grasp of the industry (products, companies, projects, players, etc.)
Proficient with SQL, relational databases, database admin, and schema design with RDBMS like PostgreSQL
Previous experience with ETL pipelines
Self-starter and able to operate independently while maintaining a focus on delivery and excellence at work
Comfortable with wearing multiple hats, navigating ambiguity and adapting to changes in priorities and plans
Full working fluency in English
Able to live and work in the United States
